These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all removal services provided by Daniel’s Removals LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By booking our services, paying a deposit, or allowing our team to begin work, the customer (“you”) agrees to these Terms.

 

1. Who We Are

We provide professional removal and transportation services across the UK.

 

2. Booking, Deposits & Payment

2.1 Deposit Requirement

To confirm any booking:

  • A deposit must be paid by bank transfer only

  • Booking is NOT confirmed until the deposit has cleared

  • Deposits are non-refundable if the job is cancelled within 4 days of the scheduled date/time

  • This applies regardless of the reason for cancellation

2.2 Full Payment Requirement

The remaining balance must be paid:

  • By bank transfer only

  • No later than 48 hours before the job

If full payment is not received in time, the booking may be cancelled and the deposit lost.

2.3 If We Cannot Complete the Job

If Daniel’s Removals LTD is unable to complete the job due to circumstances on our side:

  • A full refund (deposit + balance) will be issued

  • Refunds are sent only by bank transfer

  • The customer must provide accurate bank details

  • We are not responsible for recovering funds sent to an incorrect account due to customer error

 

3. Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete information about the job

  • Ensuring legal and safe parking (permits, spaces, suspensions)

  • Providing clear access at both locations

  • Packing items safely and securely unless packing services were booked

  • Disconnecting appliances

  • Dismantling furniture unless agreed otherwise

  • Having someone present at both collection and delivery addresses

Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in:

  • Delays

  • Additional charges

  • Job cancellation with no refund

  • Full payment being required as if the service was completed

 

4. Accurate Information Requirement (VERY IMPORTANT)

Your quotation is based entirely on the information you provide.

If, upon arrival, it becomes clear that:

  • You have more items than declared

  • Access is more difficult than stated (stairs, distance, parking restrictions, narrow doors, lifts not working)

  • Heavy/special items were not disclosed

Then:

👉 The full job fee becomes immediately payable
👉 No refunds, discounts, or reductions apply
👉 The job may need to be rescheduled or require additional charges

Our team’s attendance constitutes a significant operational cost, and the job will be treated as fulfilled.

 

5. Parking, Access & Delays

The customer must ensure legal parking for our vehicles.

If no legal parking is available:

  • We may refuse to unload or load

  • Additional charges may apply

  • Fines incurred due to lack of parking will be charged to the customer

Delays caused by:

  • Waiting for keys

  • Waiting for customer belongings

  • Parking issues

  • Inaccurate information

  • Customer not ready

…may result in waiting time fees or extra labour charges.

 

6. Heavy, Fragile, or Special Items

Customers must inform us before booking if they have:

  • Pianos

  • American fridge-freezers

  • Safes

  • Large aquariums

  • Marble or glass table tops

  • Oversized or specialist items

Failure to declare heavy or unusual items may result in:

  • Additional charges

  • Refusal to move the item

  • Job cancellation with full payment required

 

7. Packing, Protection & Inventory

Unless packing services are booked:

  • Items must be packed securely by the customer

  • Fragile items must be wrapped appropriately

  • Boxes must be sealed and reasonable weight

  • We are not responsible for damage to items that were packed improperly by the customer

We may refuse to move items that pose a safety risk.

 

8. Cancellations & Changes

8.1 Customer Cancellations

  • More than 4 days before the job: deposit may be transferred to a new date

  • Within 4 days: deposit is non-refundable

  • Same-day cancellation or no-show: full payment may be required

8.2 Company Cancellations

We may reschedule or cancel due to:

  • Unsafe working conditions

  • Severe weather

  • Staff illness

  • Vehicle breakdown

  • Access issues

  • Incorrect information provided

Where the fault lies solely with us, a full refund will be issued (see section 2.3).

 

9. Liability & Limitations

We take great care, but by law, removals services must operate within reasonable limits.
Daniel’s Removals LTD is not liable for:

  • Damage caused by poor customer packing

  • Items not packed in boxes (electronics, TVs, lamps, ornaments, plants, etc.)

  • Furniture that breaks due to age, wear, or pre-existing weakness

  • Items that do not fit through doors, windows, or staircases

  • Delays caused by traffic, weather, or unforeseeable circumstances

  • Loss of income, business, or opportunity

  • Consequential, special, or indirect damages

Our liability is limited to:

  • Physical handling of goods

  • Damage caused directly by our negligence

 

10. Claims & Damage Reporting

Any damage claim must be:

  • Reported on the day of the move

  • Supported with evidence (photos, videos)

We do not accept claims for:

  • Items packed by the customer

  • Items already damaged, weakened, or unstable

  • Items transported against our advice

  • Mechanical or electrical items that stop working after transport (unless visibly damaged externally)

 

11. Storage Terms (If Used)

If goods are placed into storage:

  • Storage charges apply as agreed

  • Items may be palletised or containerised

  • Access may require 24–48 hours’ notice

  • Storage fees must be paid on time to avoid disposal or sale of goods (after legal notice)

 

12. Fuel, Travel & Additional Charges

Additional charges may apply for:

  • Fuel surcharges for long distances

  • Waiting time

  • Delays caused by customer

  • Extra floors, long carries, poor access

  • Additional trips

  • Specialist equipment or manpower

  • Out-of-hours services

 

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or cancellations due to events beyond our control, including:

  • Accidents

  • Extreme weather

  • Road closures

  • Illness

  • Vehicle breakdowns

  • Strikes

  • Emergencies

A new date will be offered where possible.

 

14. Complaints Handling

All complaints must be submitted in writing to:

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time.
The updated version will display a new “Last updated” date.
